This is the ideal opportunity for an experienced Sales Administrator to gain experience in Inside Sales. This role is for a fixed term period only (maternity cover). It is a full-time position, however, flexible working is a possibility.
Ideally, you are goal-oriented with knowledge of customer service and sales best practices, exceptional organizational skills and draw energy from being part of a team as well as working independently.
Promotes and sells consumables and instruments via phone, email and social selling platforms to customers and prospects that will be determined by management. Utilizes a combination of selling techniques and tools to achieve goals. Is organized, a self-starter, comfortable using telephone selling skills to build customer rapport and develop consultative sales relationships. Maintains administrative duties, and documents all activities in the CRM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Meet or exceed established targets
* Maintain a comprehensive record of sales actions within CRM system
* Create quotations and pricing agreements, following pricing guidelines
* Participate in required and recommended training sessions to obtain and maintain product knowledge
* Communicate with customers by phone, virtually or by email to answer queries
* Work cross-functionally to ensure full customer service
Support
* Follow up with in-house support on all customer inquiries regarding complaints and application questions
* Ensure timely and effective resolution to all queries
General
* Utilize all aspects of the CRM software system
* Responsible for attaining and maintaining technical knowledge to support customers
* Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
* Degree in Life Sciences or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience
Work Experience
* Proven work experience as a Sales Administrator or Sales Support Agent
* Sales experience in related industry preferred
* Experience working in a life science lab beneficial
Skills or Knowledge
* Computer proficiency required
* CRM fluent for daily usage plus feeding and maintenance
* Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
* Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
* Ability to write business correspondence and reports

* Ability to calculate figures and amounts including discounts, percentages, and volume
