Our client is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our team in Rugeley, you will be responsible for successfully managing a portfolio of projects, providing effective leadership to achieve customer requirements and business goals.
Manage a portfolio of projects, providing effective leadership to Project Managers to achieve customer requirements and business goals.
Communicate effectively with senior management, team members, and peers to establish a common understanding of programme performance and plan for successful programme execution.
Work closely with the Program Finance team to meet key financial objectives and ensure clear and accurate financial reporting.
Prioritise, coordinate, and plan project portfolio activities to achieve all agreed business objectives and delivery milestones.
Provide an escalation route for project issues, risks, and key decisions.
Provide oversight and governance to ensure effective project planning, programme execution, evaluation, and management of project risks.
Support the Supply Chain team in identification, management, and development of key subcontracts and suppliers.
Knowledge and practical experience of best practice in Project Management techniques.
Experience of the commercial elements of project management, including managing contracts and supporting bids & proposals.
High commercial and business awareness, customer focus, and sales orientation.
APM Chartered Project Professional or equivalent qualification is desirable.
Experience of managing multi-disciplined projects with a focus on systems engineering and integration is highly desirable.
