Care 2 Share is a successful Outstanding Ofsted registered Social Care provider who is currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join the Family Assessment Service. We are taking Full-time, Part-time and Permanent applicants. We are currently hiring both newly qualified and experienced social workers who are registered with Social Work England. The candidate will need to have a working knowledge and understanding of The Children's Act 1989/2004, The Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families 2000, London Child Protection Procedures, Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 and the Statutory Process for Child Protection/PLO/Court Procedures. You will be working with Children and Families who have suffered trauma through neglect, emotional trauma, physical/sexual abuse/mental health and substance misuse. You will need to be empathetic, person-centered and have the ability to support the families to problem solve/find solutions whilst empowering them to make and sustain positive changes. You should be able to work as part of a team and use skills of autonomy/motivation. Duties will involveMinimum caseload of 3 families/maximum caseload of 6 familiesUndertaking Risk Assessments/Care planningDirect observations/recording accurate information/IT skillsComplex Court Assessments which include PAMs / Parenting Capacity AssessmentsDirect work sessions undertaken with children and familiesDelivering parental support and learning sessions around basic care/child development/attachment/household management/budgetingYou will be completing complex reports for the Court, providing expert witness opinions.4 weekly/ad-hoc case supervision support from the Registered Manager The work is varied and as this is a residential environment there would be occasions when you would be required to undertake shift work/sleep-ins, however, this would be negotiated at the point of the interview and is not essential.
