About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in the Kettering area. The successful candidate will work closely with autistic and non-verbal children, providing 1:1 support to meet their individual educational and developmental needs. Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to autistic and non-verbal children, assisting them with their learning and communication needs.
Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans (BSPs) under the guidance of the SENCO and class teacher.
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to participate.
Use a range of communication strategies and assistive technologies to facilitate communication and interaction for non-verbal children.
Support children with sensory processing difficulties, implementing sensory interventions and accommodations as required.
Assist with personal care and hygiene tasks, ensuring the comfort and dignity of each child.
