I left the City recruitment life after 20 years as I felt I couldn't achieve my goals both professionally and at home with the relentless and unnecessary office hours that the recruitment industry there demanded.
I wonder how many others feel this way?
Fortunately I met my business partners who agreed that you didn't need a London base to be able to work with your clients as they are currently all over the UK, we work as close (if not closer) than we ever did before. They agreed that family came first, making sports days, parents evenings, birthday meals or wanting to work from home when needed should all be a given - not a holiday request.
The London commute and lifestyle doesn't work for everyone at all stages of their career, but the opportunities to grow and own a piece of your business should not be compromised, and Spencer-Richardson was born.
Founded at the beginning of 2023, we are a small team of experienced Recruiters that specialise in end-to-end Executive Search, and senior appointments across predominantly Finance, but also Operations, Marketing, Sales and HR. We offer permanent and Interim solutions on a retained and contingent basis.
We have recently moved to a bigger office and are now looking for another experienced Recruiter to join us in building a really special business, one where our clients know they can come to for a successful result every time, and our employees are empowered to grow their businesses, careers and individual wealth....with some fun along the way!
Key responsibilities:
* Reporting to the Managing Director/Co-Founder you will own your market, create a business plan together with agreed targets and deliver on them.
* This is a full 360 role and you will be required to originate your own business, as well as work on projects from existing clients when required
* The opportunity to win and execute Board, C-suite and Executive searches
* Our Finance specialism recruits across salaries from £40k+ higher volume placements
* Recruit when the hiring triggers are right and be accountable for engaging, developing and retaining your team.
To be successful:
* We are looking for an experienced recruiter, you will need a proven track record in winning and executing work.
* Building new businesses is hard, you will need to bring high levels of resilience and motivation, we offer a supportive culture and "in it together" team approach. Every win is celebrated no matter how small.
* The range of our assignments can be broad across sector, so flexibility is needed.
* You will be excited about, and want to be a part of, building a business at its infancy, without the risk of investing your own capital, and with the support and opportunity to own equity in time. We have big dreams for this brand and are looking for like minded, experienced recruiters to come along for the adventure.
P.S
We have a Cocker Spaniel on the team, she loves coming to the office though her recruitment skills are a little patchy, so that will need to be okay with you too!
