Job Description
We are working with a global facilities management company who are market leaders in every industry from aviation, hospitality, rail, construction and more, in their search for a new Head of Indirect Procurement.
This exciting and strategic position will be providing leadership for the indirect area of the procurement department across the UK and Ireland - working closely with a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:
* Champion the values, attitudes and vision for the business to your direct reports and business units - working closely with the Procurement Director to build the culture and performance objectives.
* Design and implement the Procurement strategy alongside the Procurement Director - support the reduction of cost and risk whilst maintaining excellent levels of service to stakeholders.
* Maximise efficiencies by using the systems in place to report and analyse data, using your findings to influence key decisions.
* Ensure that tools are being utilised effectively so that reporting is accurate, reliable and accessible.
* Manage and review budgets - including rebate performance and driving cost saving initiatives.
* Understand and work closely with your internal stakeholders, ensuring excellent service for their requirements and using your knowledge to drive commercial negotiations.
* Form strong, productive relationships with both the business and the supply base ensuring the UK and Ireland business is the customer of choice leading to business growth and profitability.
* Full responsibility for all indirect spend.
* Lead and manage a team to create and execute a category management plan to reduce total cost, improve quality of supply and mitigate risk within the supply chain.
* Promote the CSR and sustainability standards for the business - taking appropriate action if these standards are not met.
* Maintain high levels of integrity and professionalism, adhering to the CIPS Code of Conduct at all times.
To Be Successful:
* Track record of managing and mentoring a high performing procurement team.
* Exceptional negotiation skills that deliver results.
* Strategic planning skills - with the ability to prioritise under pressure and delegate appropriately.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels.
* CIPS qualification desirable.
* Naturally commercially minded.
* The ability to work flexibly when needed - some national travel required.
* Working closely on-site with the senior leadership team in Ipswich.
