Primary Teacher (Specialist Setting); Chesterfield
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our specialist setting in Chesterfield. In this role, you will work with pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who are currently excluded from mainstream education due to a range of additional needs, including social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver the primary curriculum in a way that is accessible and beneficial to these pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering the primary curriculum to pupils with additional needs in a specialist setting.
* Creating engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of the pupils.
* Collaborating with a team of Teaching Assistants to provide support and maintain a high staff to pupil ratio.
* Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing feedback, and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
* Establishing positive relationships with pupils, parents, and external agencies involved in supporting pupil welfare and education.
* Participating in meetings and professional development activities outside of regular hours as required.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
2. Experience or a willingness to work with pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
