We are partnering with a manufacturing company seeking a Quality Engineer in Cambridge on a hybrid basis.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct Supplier Audits to ensure our suppliers meet and exceed quality standards through regular audits and assessments. Identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
* Analyse supplier performance data to drive informed decisions. Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve supplier quality metrics.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and procurement, to ensure seamless integration of quality processes throughout the supply chain.
* Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives. Implement best practices to enhance overall supplier quality and efficiency.
* Investigate and resolve quality issues by conducting thorough root cause analysis. Implement preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
* Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is essential
* Expertise in supplier quality engineering or a similar position.
* It is advantageous to have knowledge about quality management systems and ISO standards.
* Knowledgeable in ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, and IFS
* Capable of driving design decisions where repeatable manufacturability deliverables are required. Competent in design for manufacture.
* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
* The capacity to forge close bonds with internal teams and vendors.
* Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to understand trends and data. It helps to be proficient with data analysis software.
