In your job as an Event Sales Account Manager you will be responsible for managing and selling to a territory of Northern Europe-based technology ICT accounts. The role will have mix of running client base (60%) and new business acquisition (40%) focus, and you will have access to selling the go-to-market services to an assigned base of customers and prospects.

Your main tasks will be to:
* Focus on selling IDC's high-level events portfolio to clients in the technology sector based in the Nordics,
* Manage existing accounts (60%) by maintaining a strong relationship with clients, negotiating renewals as well as new contracts within existing accounts and identifying opportunities for improvement and growth,
* Acquire new business opportunities in the technology sector (40%) through networking, research, and prospecting, and driving the entire sales cycle from initial customer contact to closing the deal,
* Customize proposals based on customer requirements and meet budgeted sales targets,
* Deliver strategic and bespoke proposals and pitches to senior level contacts, over the phone and face to face as well as identifying opportunities for upsell integrated marketing campaigns,
* Accurately report the sales pipeline in the CRM (Salesforce) and local market intel/inputs to grow the business based on trends and requirements.
* Collaborate with IDC teams consisting of Marketing, Analysts, Consultant and other Sales professionals.
We are looking for someone who:
* Has approximately 5+ years of direct sales experience and preferably a bachelor’s degree or higher,
* Is fluent in English both in written and spoken form, additional language (Danish, Swedish, etc.) is of course a plus since you would be doing business within the Nordics but it's definitely not a must,
* Has demonstrated success working independently to sell complex goods and services to technology vendors,
* Has a customer-centric approach, a collaborative and proactive mindset is key,
* Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
* Experience with LinkedIn Navigator preferred.
