Our client is seeking a Software Asset Specialist to join their team and work in the IT Asset Management department.You will be working for an industry-leading professional services company to establish effective business practices for managing IT assets and software licences within the organisation. This involves integrating inventory, contracts, finances, and risk management to oversee the entire asset lifecycle, including both tactical and strategic decision-making.The Technology Services department delivers top-tier global support and services, including IT service management and infrastructure operations for the firm.
You will be involved in:
1. Enhancing SAM strategy and governance to minimise risk and maximise efficiency.
2. Liaising with third-party software suppliers, handling complex licence discussions.
3. Advising on software licencing to optimise investments and guide new purchases and managing software vendor audits.
4. Conducting internal software audits, generating Effective Licence Positions (ELPs) for renewals and negotiations.
5. Understanding complex licence models enterprise vendors and assessing their impact on the firm's strategy.
6. Collaborating with Procurement and Legal teams to improve contractual positions and interpreting vendor licence models.
