The role is hybrid with home office flexibility.

Abour the role:
We're seeking a Solution Architect to join our team in Winnersh, UK.
You'll be working alongside the technical project manager and the Service Delivery Manager, ensuring seamless execution and delivery within the Idemia Public Security Business Line for one of our most strategic Travel and Transportation projects in the UK in the biometry and cybersecurity field.
The Systems Architect's role is to define and translate our clients' needs into solution/system, act as the coordination point, and be the technical reference of the project during technical solution choices.
The main project will be a technical Transition and the implementation of our technology in Airports and Train Stations. The customer is a public authority institution.

Key Responsabilities:
As a Solution Architect, you will assist us in:
* Gathering business and functional requirements from external/internal customers, and translate requirements into technical specifications that are robust, scalable and supportable
* Defines the functional and technical architecture of the system to meet the criteria of performance, budget, quality and risks induced by the customer requirements and contextual constraints of the system operation
* Performs architecture feasibility analysis (including performance, fault and risk analysis) and makes recommendations on solutions architecture options
* Serves as technical lead throughout the full solution development lifecycle, end-to-end
* Develops and documents architecture specifications that serve as the reference for engineering and execution
* Provides design and validation reviews for other engineers, including feedback on architecture and design issues, as well as integration, performance and scalability
* Monitors and enforces architecture/technological consistency among all platform components,
* Supports developers on managing technical issues
* Participates to architecture standardization
* Analyzes and provides design for simple or large solutions in autonomy, and with guidance for complex solutions including multiple modules or technologies
You will ensure your success if:
* You have an engineering background.
* You have initial experience in system engineering and preferably in solution architecture.
* You have good written and oral communications skills in English
* You are a team player and customer oriented
Even better if you have:
* Basic knowledge in security (PKI, certificate, firewall, etc.) and IT infrastructure: OS (Windows, Linux, Unix), virtualized environments, network, high availability, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), Docker, Kubernetes.
* Initial experience in system modeling (POLARION, SPARX, Doors).
* Good knowledge in Java, J2EE software development, JBOSS application servers, C++, and databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB solutions.
