As a Trustee with a fundraising background, you will take the lead at board level on
fundraising, whilst ensuring that the collective responsibility of the Board of Trustees for the
fundraising governance is maintained.
The statutory duties of all trustees are:
● To ensure that the organisation complies with its governing document, charity law,
company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations.
● To ensure that the organisation pursues its objects as defined in its governing
document.
● To ensure the organisation uses its resources exclusively in pursuance of its
objects: the organisation must not spend money on activities which are not included.

● To contribute actively to the board of trustees’ role in giving firm strategic direction to
the organisation, setting overall policy, defining goals and setting targets and

plan, they are seeking to strengthen their Board by appointing a new Trustee with dedicated.
expertise in fundraising and extensive knowledge of Restricted and Unrestricted funding to help guide their efforts and to diversify their funding base so that they have the resources to fully deliver our strategic objective in support of providing short-term housing for Asylum Seekers.
In relation to the Board – you will provide insight and confidence to other Trustees on their Fundraising strategy.
