Robert Half is delighted to partner with a leading wealth and asset manager based in London to find their next Operations & CASS Analyst.
Looking to hire an Operations specialist who has experience of running Client Money and Asset reconciliations to adhere to the standards of the CASS regime. This role covers the daily production of the reconciliations and analysis of the breaks as well as running the administrative tasks to support the CASS functions and responsibilities within the firm.
Role:
* Perform reconciliations for cash and assets
* Perform the Daily CASS calculations (Prudent Segregation, Margin Transaction Requirements, Profit/Commission Sweeps, CTA Account Funding, Corporate Actions) and instruct the money moves for Client Treasury to action
* Monthly preparation of CMAR submission
* Undertake CASS administrative tasks:
+ Perform due diligence of client money banks and brokers including onsite visits where necessary with input from functional specialisms as required
+ Understand and challenge the business processes and controls and be able to document them back to the CASS rule book.
+ Maintain Signavio for CASS covering up to date risk assessments and process maps
+ Coordinate the CASS audit
+ Provide management Information to CASS stakeholders (eg. CF10a, CASS Control and Compliance functions, CASS Committee)
+ Contribute to the delivery of timely and accurate reporting to regulators and the firm’s board
+ Ensure CASS policies are reviewed and updated in a timely manner
+ Manage the CASS Committee agenda and meeting minutes along.
* Be involved with projects that have CASS impact:
+ Support compliance with responses to consultations and implement the necessary changes to CASS policies, procedures, process and systems
+ Support in the delivery of required regulatory changes projects or business initiatives in relation to CASS
* Attendance at industry conferences/events, networking & roundtables in relation to CASS
Requirements:
* Strong background within Operations and knowledge of the CASS sourcebook, in particular CASS rules 6, 7 & 8
* An industry background, ideally from Investment Management, Audit or Banking
* Direct CASS project experience, able to deliver on operational CASS changes
* Self Starter autonomous and problem solver with experience managing multiple workstreams at the same time.
