We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an ambitious Business Intelligence Manager to join us. Working with an experienced reporting team, you will provide game changing reporting solutions throughout the organisation.
What does the role involve?
Supporting the business in delivering on each of its core strategies
Become the go to person for support with value adding reporting requests
Data warehouse design, data modelling, build and manipulation
Optimize the Azure Data Analytics platform, allowing ingestion of data from a variety of data sources to support Power BI reporting
Build, optimise and metadata management of data models
Run and maintain a cost-effective Azure Cloud reporting infrastructure
Work closely with security, data protection and compliance teams to ensure a secure and compliant data architecture is maintained
Undertake customisation, development projects and reports from proposal to deployment
Assist in resolving faults (e.g. reporting failures and customer challenges)
Adopt a best in class approach to creating and maintain a documented development library
Develop and lead a small team of Data Analysts/Engineers
Lead by example and role model the ScS RIGHT Values and Behaviours
This is a hybrid role, based at our support centre in Sunderland
Who are we looking for?
Experience within a similar role
Someone who can demonstrate a strong level experience in reporting, data integration and technical skill, with in depth SQL knowledge.
Experience with a broad range of Microsoft technologies would be an advantage. Some of the tech we use include Azure, Data Factory, SQL Server, Power Platform, Powershell, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Tabular Editor
Understanding of Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central would be beneficial
Solid understanding and experience of database management systems and ETL Framework
Experience in leading / motivating teams to deliver meaningful change and drive their professional development.
Experience managing and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong data interpretation skills; detail-oriented, creative, inquisitive, persistent, and self-motivated
Customer focused with an ability to form positive working relationships
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate ‘technical speak’ into business language
Previous project management exposure would be beneficial
