A leading manufacturer of steel rebar machinery and equipment is looking for a remote Service Engineer / Supervisor capable of travelling the country to various sites overseeing any commissioning / decommissioning / maintenance issues with their equipment / machinery.
Whilst this role is home based, you can expect to be travelling 30-50% of the time, from 2 to 5 days at a time.
Responsibilities:
1. Commissioning/decommissioning/maintenance of approx 300 machines operated on project sites / rebar factories across the UK.
2. Manage documentation accessibility and training for equipment users.
3. Provide technical support on-site and remotely (Level 3).
4. Supervise operations and ensure compliance with standards.
5. Conduct regular site visits and optimize workshop effectiveness.
6. Maintain records, handle client queries, and communicate deviations.
7. Analyze equipment performance and propose improvement plans.
Requirements:
* Technical expertise in mechanical / electrical equipment commissioning and maintenance.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to train and supervise equipment operators.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on process optimization.
* Experience in technical support and customer relations.
