This job is to work in the finance team supporting the Management Accountant across multiple tasks in a business that is fast paced and dynamic.
Being able to act responsibly and work confidentially are essential requirements for this role and the successful applicant will need to be able to work effectively both independently and in a team. To work in the finance team supporting the Management Accountant across multiple tasks in a business that is fast paced and dynamic.
Your tasks will look like this:
o Support with the production of month/year-end accounts and audit.
o Monthly branch overheads updates to provide accurate overheads data.
o Assistance with preparation of accruals, prepayments and journals.
o Assistance with balance sheet reconciliations.
o Assistance with sales reporting and calculating of commissions.
o Assistance with preparation of annual budgets.
o Providing support to the Management Accountant and members of the finance team as required.
The attributes you will need to apply are:
* Experience working in a varied Accountancy role.
* Experience with preparation of month end accounts.
* AAT Level 4 qualified or qualified by experience.
* Strong double entry accounting knowledge.
* Good Excel skills including Vlookups & Pivot Tables.
* Confidence working with new accounting software and systems. Open Accounts experience desirable.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Great attention to detail, numerical and analytical skills.
Your location and work hours:
We are based in the lovely area of Altrincham, in a modern office with free parking and in walking distance of local shops.
This role is a full time permanent role. We have a 39 hour week (40 weeks in the summer, 38 in the winter) with no weekend work. Most of our team work 8:30am - 5pm with 30 minute lunch but we have some flexibility around this.
This role is a hybrid role and we are happy for you to work from home with a minimum of 2/3 days in the office.
