SCC Flex Contract: SC Cleared Software Engineer - £500 per day - Inside IR35 - London
As a Software Engineer, you will:
* Execute software tasks from the Sprint Backlog, covering design, development, documentation, and verification, while following company standards and Sprint constraints.
* Provide specialized software knowledge, lead defect investigations, and propose solutions.
* Assist in analysing tasks to ensure a clear understanding of scope and acceptance criteria.
* Complete backlog tasks within estimates or provide new estimates with justification.
* Promptly escalate issues hindering task completion.
* Review and mentor junior team members.
* Ensure thorough testing before task completion.
* Collaborate within the team to achieve Sprint objectives.
* Lead in providing design solutions and estimates for future tasks.
* Ensure adherence to the Project Quality Management System.
* Support independent test teams during integration or system testing.
The successful Software Engineer will have experience in:
* Proficiency in software life cycle management.
* Experience in Agile development using Scrum and Kanban.
* Ability to deliver high-quality software and documentation with minimal rework.
* Proficiency in providing detailed estimates with risk assessment.
* Experience in functional and Object-Oriented Design engineering.
* Ability to conduct design and code reviews, and unit test inspections.
* Knowledge of C/C++ development on Linux.
* Experience in designing software compliant with Safety and Security Standards.
* Familiarity with tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest, DOORS, and HP ALM.
* Understanding of system-level architecture and multi-threading.
* Proficiency in Python and Java.
* Experience with service-oriented or distributed systems.
* Exposure to Geospatial Information Systems.
* Active SC Clearance
