Internal Audit Manager – UK remote - £50,000 - £65,000 + Excellent benefits
Locke & McCloud are looking for an experienced Internal Audit Manager specialising in Information Security and IT auditing to lead our clients internal audit team. Our client is looking for someone who has a deep understanding of information security principles, IT governance, risk management, and compliance standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage audit projects to ensure our clients IT systems and processes are secure and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
Main responsibilities:
* Lead and manage our clients internal audit function for information security and IT systems, including planning, execution, and reporting of audit engagements.
* Develop and maintain a risk-based audit plan that aligns with our clients objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of information security controls, IT infrastructure, and systems to identify weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of IT governance processes, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate audit findings, recommendations, and remediation plans, and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
* Provide guidance and support to internal audit team members, including coaching, mentoring, and training on information security and IT auditing best practices.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including IT leadership, business unit managers, and external auditors.
* Prepare and present audit reports, findings, and recommendations to senior management and the audit committee.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
* Must have prior experience in conducting information security and IT audits, preferably in a managerial or leadership role.
* In-depth knowledge of information security principles, IT governance frameworks, and industry standards.
* Strong understanding of risk management principles and methodologies, including the ability to identify and assess IT-related risks.
* Experience/ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
* Ability to collaborate and build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
