Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Caerphilly, Mid Glamorgan

We are recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a practice in Caerphilly, Wales.
This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 5 days, along with Saturdays from 9am to 1pm on a rota. Part time hours can be considered. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties
The practice is located on the outskirts of Cardiff and is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
It provides a supportive and friendly working environment along with clinical freedom. The lead Vet is currently studying towards a GP certificate in orthopaedic surgery so if the Vet has an interest in Orthopaedics this practice is kitted out with the right equipment to be able to handle these procedures.
The practice also offers a stem cell therapist protocol which is performed on site. The practice boasts state of the art facilities such as Ultrasonic scanner with Doppler, laser therapy, digital x-ray and in-house laboratory.
Due to continued growth, they require an additional Vet. As the practice can offer specialist treatment with their facilities, they are expecting the practice client base to grow and will also be taking on referrals from other practices. This is an excellent opportunity for a Vet who wishes to progress and has ambition to study towards an area of special interest.
The vet must have good surgical and medical skills with some experience in emergency surgery. They will be confident with some sole charge work when required. They must have a friendly and approachable attitude and enjoy establishing work relationships and building a client base. They must also work well as part of a team and have good communication skills.

* Team: 1 vet, 4 RVNs, 2 SVNs and support team

About you:
* You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
* You will be confident in routine surgeries and consultations
* You will be happy with some sole charge work
* You will have an approachable and caring attitude
* You will have a bias or have an areas of special interest
* You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
* You will want to contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets
* You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff
* You will be a strong team player

Package:
* Salary: £40,000 to £60,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
