An International Mining company is recruiting for a Lead Cost Engineer to work on a large UK Mining project and be based in the North of England. This role is a long term contract position.W are looking for an experienced Lead Cost Engineer who is comfortable working at a Senior level and managing others in the team. You will be responsible for helping to set up processes and procedures.As Lead Cost Engineer you will have the following duties and responsibilities:Develop and implement a project controls planPlan and organize the setup of project baselineDevelop cost, schedule, and commercial baselineProviding technical and administrative direction, coordinationWorking as a Lead with a team of Cost and Project Controls specialistsAnalyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the planManage the review of Project Profit/Risk Analysis with managementLead the proposal efforts for cost/scheduling activitiesCoordinate internal and external auditsThe successful candidate will be an experienced Cost Engineer who is used to working as a Lead Cost Engineer on a project. A Cost Engineering or Quantity Surveying background is preferred.It is essential that you have worked on heavy industry projects in either Mining, Energy, Infrastructure or Construction.This role is based in the North of England so please only apply if you are happy to work in this location.
