Job Description
We have a new opportunity to be part of the Facilities team in the role of Soft Services Manager.
The responsibilities of the role are:
* Management: Lead and supervise a team of soft services suppliers (all subcontracted), including cleaning, security, grounds, waste and pest, ensuring effective performance, training, and development.
* Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence by implementing best practices, quality standards, and efficient processes to enhance service delivery.
* Compliance: Ensure all soft services activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and health and safety guidelines.
* Budget Management: Manage budgets effectively, controlling costs and expenses related to soft services operations.
* Validate subcontractor Shift / Daily planning such that the site operations are supported at all times maximising the contributions from available resources.
* Manage and respond to the CAFM system informing the Facilities Team of additional tasks and support required.
* Accurately and clearly highlight key issues and opportunities for improvement, continually looking to improve efficiency, and reduce operational cost whilst maintaining and improving standards.
* Ensure all Service Level Agreements and KPIs are meet, and daily, weekly checklists and schedules are delivered.
* Measure /Monitor/Improve performance of the teams
* Ensure that personnel receive appropriate training and development
* Timely and accurate supply of information relating to relevant personnel.
* Promote quality awareness and encourage ideas for improvement.
* Maintain a consistent and fair approach to all designated teams and personnel.
* Respond to business needs, scheduling WIP and maintenance in order to meet desired output.
* Ensure Health & Safety standards/procedures are adhered to.
* To work proactively, responsibly, and professionally at all times and to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure
* To maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard and to add value to the team
Key skills:
* You must have previous Soft Service supervision and management skills in a relatable environment
* You must have the ability to organise & prioritise workload
* You must be able to demonstrate continuous improvement in a previous role
* You must have experience of risk awareness: including Manual Handling appreciation & hazardous substances / safety data sheet management
* Previous experience in automotive / high level manufacturing environment. Will consider from outside this environment for the right person
* Driving license essential to travel between local sites (within 10 mile radius)
* To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment
* Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure
* To communicate effectively, positively and respectfully with all colleagues
* To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment
* Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills
* Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues
* Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety
