Sellick Partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Lead SQL Database Administrator for an organisation based in Sunderland. This is a permanent role with hybrid working.
Responsibilities of the Lead Database Administrator include:
* Lead and coach a team of Database Developers, provide performance feedback and professional development opportunities
* Design and implement SQL database schemas, tables, views, and stored procedures based on business requirements
* Contribute to improvements and migrations both with on-premises and cloud technologies
* Implement data modelling best practices to ensure data integrity, security, consistency, and usability
* Manage database scripts, schema changes, and integration code using version control systems
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve database-related issues, integration failures, and data discrepancies
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
2. Proven experience in database administration and data engineering roles
3. Proficiency with Azure and SQL Server administration and programming of on-premises and cloud database solutions
