Job purpose:To effectively oversee the daily workings of the warehouse, daily logistics team, operations and premises.Key responsibilities:Responsibility for ISO Quality Management System, incorporating 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards along with Safe Contractor and FSC accreditation ensuring up-to-date and accurate information is maintained to audit level.Ensures all business premises are operational on a daily basis incorporating cleaning contractors, health and safety, general premises maintenance and security.Accountable for ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed.Responsible for all business insurances, policies and procedures.Plans, schedules and reviews workload to ensure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis.Oversight of the production, procurement and planning of daily operations.Coordinates activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements.Ensures high standards of product management and delivery.Manages the growth and success of the warehouse and logistics teams.Accountable for the negotiation and maintenance of our company mobile phone contract.Success measures:Maintain regular communication with Board of Directors, staff and stakeholders to ensure effective operations of the organisationDevelop, implement and maintain quality assurance protocolsRe Accreditation process is consistently smooth with a target of zero non-conformities achievedGrow the efficiency of existing organisational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organisation's effective operationsEnsure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budgetLead, motivate and support a team within a time-sensitive and sometimes demanding environmentEffectively partner with cross-functional support teams in improving the efficiency of the businessPerson specification:Ability to easily travel to our Dagenham office where the role is basedAbility to flex across our London & Dagenham office locations with 1 x day per week in the London OfficeMust have experience of implementing and managing ISO9001, 14001 and 45001 along with SafeContractor and FSC accreditations.Certifications in IOSHH and CSCS are desirablePrevious experience as Operations Manager in a similar industry/size companyAbility to remain calm under pressureOperates with a very customer focused attitudeAbility to build strong working relationships and effectively partner across all teamsWorking Hours are 7:30am – 4pm with a 1hr lunch breakIn return, you will receive:Competitive salary dependent on experience, pension & discretionary bonus packageRegular social events including team lunches/company parties and industry eventsRange of learning and development activities to support your career progressionEmployee assistance programme alongside wellbeing initiativesGreat team environment working alongside knowledgeable and passionate individualsFull right to work in the UK is required as unfortunately sponsorship is not available for this position.Please share your current availability/notice period and salary expectations alongside your CV when applying.
