Job purpose
Reporting to the Head of Contracts Management, the Contracts Manager will support the oversight and management of all aspects of third-party logistics (3PL) contracts within the global organisation. The role will ensure that contracts are designed, negotiated, implemented, and maintained with consideration for the wider business requirement, and that contract lifecycles are managed effectively. You will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain operations and ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services
Key responsibilities
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with 3PL partners, acting as the point of contact for contract-related matters
* Negotiate and draft contracts with 3PL providers, ensuring that terms and conditions align with our business objectives and comply with legal requirements
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, procurement, operations, technical and legal, to ensure contract terms meet operational needs and mitigate risk
* Monitor and evaluate contract performance, ensuring compliance with agreed upon service levels, key performance indicators, and contractual obligations
* Identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities within existing contracts, and proactively work with stakeholders to implement necessary changes
* Conduct regular contract reviews and audits to identify potential risks, issues, or non-compliance, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies
* Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to 3PL contracts, and apply this knowledge to enhance contract management processes
* Provide guidance and support to internal teams on contract-related matters, including dispute resolution, change management, and contract renewals
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract documentation, ensuring proper record-keeping and adherence to internal policies and procedures
* Undertake any further duties which may from time to time be assigned

Qualifications and training
* CIPS or membership of another relevant chartered institute, preferable
* Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferable
Experience
* Background in Contracts and engagements
* Background in 3PL Management
* Exemplary and demonstrable stakeholder management experience across diverse stakeholder groups
* Experience of FMCG, desirable
* Supply Chain, Logistics or Distribution experience, desirable
* Import/Export experience, desirable
