The Role
As the Head of Maintenance, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the estate maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our venues, facilities, and equipment. With a passion for hospitality, you will want to help create great and safe spaces for our customers. You will enjoy the pace of a fast moving and growing company and be proud to support the ongoing success of our venues.
Key Responsibilities:
* To develop and manage a departmental structure to meet the dynamics of the business and harmonise the maintenance service requirements across all sites.
* Coordinate with Health & Safety and other departments to schedule preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades with minimal disruption to operations.
* Manage the maintenance budget, allocating resources efficiently and optimising costs while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
* Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in maintenance management, and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* To manage a third party 24x7x365 maintenance Helpdesk, a team of preferred contractors and an on-line, real time reporting platform, that gives access and visibility to all assigned users.
* Ensure minimal lost trading hours and assist in restoring a venue to trading status as soon as possible.
* To manage within allocated authority levels, Capex budgets to deliver spend in-line with budget; establish cost control and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility to stakeholders.
* To be part of the Senior Management team, ensuring that knowledge gained in the context of all thing's maintenance is communicated widely and effectively to assist in decision making.
Qualifications:
* You will have experience in a hospitality company and will be able to share the vision of how special these venues are and how we can constantly evolve for the comfort of our guests.
* Commercial experience and management responsibility for buildings and facilities management with experience in either hospitality or retail.
* Educated to degree standard or equivalent in Building Services Engineering/Building Surveying
* A good understanding of Statutory Compliance requirements.
* A good understanding of procedures and best practice in the BSE sector.
* Track record of managing third-party suppliers and sub-contractors to deliver optimum performance.
