About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Safeguarding Service team in Tameside. The successful candidate will provide high-quality professional social work to children and their families, ensuring compliance with legislation, national, regional, and local statutory guidance, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide Professional Social Work: Deliver effective, high-quality social work to children and families in accordance with relevant legislation and guidance.
* Manage Risk and Need: Ensure high-quality practice and effective management of risk and need within your caseload.
* Handle Complex Caseloads: Manage complex cases and provide mentoring, coaching, and co-working support to practitioners within the Safeguarding Service.
* Facilitate Development Opportunities: Lead workshops and group supervisions for social work staff and practitioners, fostering reflection and continuous improvement in practice quality.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Degree in Social Work or equivalent, with relevant professional registration.
* Experience: 2 years minimum, preferably within a safeguarding context. Experience managing complex cases and mentoring staff.
