Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Finance Administrator to join Conwy Council’s Social Services Department on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Duties:
* To be responsible for the processes involved with service expenditure and some departmental income.
* To be responsible for the maintenance both manual and computerised record systems in-line with audit requirements such as authorised signatories list etc.
* To support budget holders with the required financial monitoring reports, providing analysis where required.
* To process, input and extract data held on the finance sections recording and interface systems to include preparation of journals as required.
* To liaise with private sector providers, authority colleagues and other agency staff to resolve discrepancies between commissioned and actual service provision for community care transactions.
* To resolve issues directed by internal and external customers, providers and creditors as required.
* To manage the finance assistants and to ensure their contribution to the department’s monthly financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner, including undertaking PDR’s and to be responsible for the welfare, training and development of staff.
* To be responsible for the raising of occasional external invoices and internal re-charges as required.
