Lead FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) support to commercial (sales, marketing and commercial support) and operations functions, as well as ad-hoc project support.This is a newly created and high-profile role that will provide the post-holder unrivalled exposure across key aspects of the business as it undergoes an exciting transformation into the next phase of growth across the UK and international markets.Qualifications required: CCAB newly qualified or a passed finalistExperience required: 3 years working in a finance team with exposure to FP&A to a gross margin level in a product business (sales, cost of sales, standard costing)Essential skills:Ability to interrogate product/customer trading data to gross margin level and provide relevant insights for decision makers using Power BI and SQL queriesIT literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExperience in working in a product sales environmentComfortable presenting insights to Senior Managers and C-suiteKey personal attributes:Honesty and integrityAmbition and drive to succeedDependability and reliabilityFlexibility and willingness to work collaborativelyEmotional intelligence and creativityCommitted to professionalism and continuous improvement and personal developmentDesirable skills / experience:Exposure to a manufacturing environmentAn understanding of the medical devices marketMain tasks:Acting as a trusted partner to key stakeholders in the business across the Sales, Commercial, Marketing and Operations functionsAnalysis of a wide range of internal data from various key systems (ERP, CRM etc...) in order to produce timely and accurate financial insights for decision making and for identifying risks and opportunitiesLeading the budget, AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and reforecast cycles to gross margin levelActive involvement in month-end reporting and monthly P&L and cost centre reviews with key stakeholdersUse Power BI and SQL queries to develop quicker, accurate and more insightful reports to support achievement of sales, gross margin and EBITDA targetsEvaluate ad-hoc project financials (opex and capex) and report against progress to key stakeholdersUse external data to form insights on the macro (market) environment and subsequent impact/implications, examples include building market maps, share of wallet analysis, budgets (for example NHS category budgets).
