Alexander Daniels are recruiting for a Payroll Assistant for a business based in Birmingham. This business offers a great work culture and the opportunity for the successful applicant to join a small team on a full-time basis or part time reduced hours.
Key Responsibilities:
* Generating and inputting Weekly timesheets
* Recording Payroll data through SAGE
* Calculating overtime, salary and work pattern changes.
* Inputting New Starters and Leavers
* Processing payslips and P45's
* Following correct GDPR guidelines.
* Resolving issues employees have with timesheets, payslips and other payroll matters.
* Changing employee bank details, when necessary, to process payments accurately.
* Maintaining the Payroll general inbox.
* Processing SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP.
* Processing Pension Opt Out Forms.
* Assisting with Pension Auto-Enrol.
Essential Skills:
* All applicants must have a strong foundation in maths and general organisation skills.
* Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP's and Pivot Tables.
* Attention to detail
* Sensitivity and understanding
* Ability to work independently
* Interpersonal rules
* Sound knowledge of relevant legislation
