Senior Enterprise Applications Reporting Analyst

With continued growth across the Aztec Group, our Information Technology teams are expanding to support current and future business needs. We’re after experts in the field to help us deliver high-quality, seamless and uninterrupted IT experiences for our employees and clients, across our multiple European jurisdictions.
This role will centre on the design and implementation of reporting services from our core IT applications including eFront Reporting technologies (FrontReport, FrontExcel, etc) and providing technical expertise in evaluating requirements, analysing data and creating technical design documents. Under the direction of an experienced IT Applications Manager, with support and continuing professional development, the ideal candidate will become a key part of the Group’s IT Applications team.
Key responsibilities
* Design and implementation of reports using a variety of methods, including eFront Reporting technologies, SSRS, MS Excel, etc
* Provide expertise in database analysis and querying, including SQL Stored Procedures
* Provide technical expertise in evaluating requirements, analysing data and creating technical design documents
* Contribute to continuing improvement process across our data and reporting services
* Liaise closely with analysts and developers to build appropriate solutions
* Providing first line user support working closely with the business
* Review reporting deliverables and other team member’s work
* Training and oversight of more junior staff members
Skills, knowledge and expertise:
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a data analyst / report writer gained within a business environment
* Good knowledge of report writing tools such as SAS, FrontReports, SSRS, MS Excel, PowerBI
* Good knowledge of SQL Server, TSQL and database design
* Good knowledge of MS Excel, including macros
* Knowledge of application development process and related technologies
* Ability to prioritize, delegate and follow escalation procedures for tasks, including managing stakeholder expectations
* Ability to work with minimum supervision and manage own workload effectively
* Exposure to Private Equity products, such as eFront, would be an advantage
* Ability to compile technical documentation, including requirements elicitation, specification documentation and testing
* Strong analytical skills able to recommend and implement best practices for code reuse, better scalability, performance and availability
* Good interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients and third-party supplies
