We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join the culinary team of an iconic venue located in Greenock Waterfront. As Sous Chef, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and creative environment, creating exceptional culinary experiences for guests.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
* Oversee and participate in the preparation, cooking, and plating of menu items in accordance with established recipes and guidelines.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth workflow and adherence to culinary standards and health/safety regulations.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal specials, considering guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
* Monitor food inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain proper stock rotation to minimize waste and maximize freshness.
* Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment maintenance and sanitation.
* Uphold a positive and professional work environment, fostering teamwork and open communication.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef or an equivalent role in a high-volume, upscale hotel or restaurant.
