The successfully appointed individual will be joining a team of project engineers. You will bring strengths in mechanical engineering with exposure to lathes, milling and similar. Ideally, you will work in a heavy industrial environment, such as chemical, petro chemical, oil, gas, energy and/ or steel manufacturing. What your accountabilities will look like:Effectively lead engineering projects from conception to hand over and provide continued technical support post handoverSupport other engineering projects and maintenance activitiesRoutinely achieve individual targets and make significant contributions to team and company objectivesDeliver continuous improvement initiatives for wider business benefitKey point of contact for operations and maintenance support requirements.What you'll need to succeed You will be a self-starting individual, someone that strives for continuous improvement and is able to lead a project to completion. You will have some exposure to Project Management and be passionate about carving your career further. In addition, you will:Hold a HNC, Degree or similar in Mechanical discipline or equivalentYou'll have working knowledge of project management techniques and tools.First class communication skills are essential as you will work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth completion of projects.
