Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Factory Manager located in Chard. The Factory Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, including production planning, quality control, and production management. The Factory Manager will also be responsible for operations management and ensuring efficient manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
* Overseeing all aspects of production within the factory including planning, scheduling, quality control and coordination between departments.
* Allocating tasks throughout the factory and ensuring that communication and direction from Production Manager is being outlined and acted upon within the departments.
* Leading and managing day to day tasks within departments and ensuring high quality business activities with maximum efficiency, production, service, and profitability for the organisation.
* Monitoring stock levels within factory and outlining risks to Head Office.
* Responsibly using resources and controlling expenses to meet budgetary controls.
* Interacting and coordinating with all members of the organisation and its suppliers to ensure organizational goals are being met.
* Managing a team of employees and liaising between Head Office HR to hire, train, and performance manage staff.
* Ensuring that safety protocols are followed, and that the factory is in compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
* Represent the Company when dealing with building efficiencies including maintenance and ad hoc situations of the property.
Additional Tasks
* From time to time, you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role.
* Travel to London Head Office on rare occasions for training, development, and team building purposes is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
* Previous experience within management preferred.
* Thorough understanding of factory environments, manufacturing and business process and management.
* Leadership with ability to motivate and manage a team.
* Proven ability to coach and develop others.
* High degree of integrity and honesty in all dealings and understanding of confidentiality.
* Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
* Proficiency in computer programs, particularly Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
* Data entry skills and knowledge of databases and spreadsheets preferred but not required.
* Ability to work under pressure.
