The world is facing a nature crisis. We have lost 85% of the world’s wetlands, 35% of its forests and 65% of its living creatures. Action on nature is the next frontier for sustainability, as the world has to move beyond net zero to nature positive future. natcap is on a mission to accelerate the nature-positive transition by integrating nature intelligence into business decision-making. We support the world's leading companies to prioritise, measure and act on nature impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities.
As a senior scientist, you will be joining our multidisciplinary science team to lead the development of models and metrics for our natural intelligence platform, and bring the most rigorous science to the hands of those with the biggest influence on nature. You will work closely with software engineers, product developers and other scientists in cross-functional teams to deliver useful and scalable insights to customers, helping them understand their interaction with nature and ultimately take action.

* Join customer calls and work closely with our commercial and product teams to deeply understand customer context and priorities to ensure our science is useful and impactful.
* Be an inspirational leader and role model in the science team, and support and develop junior colleagues.
* Speak with experts across a range of fields and topics to quickly master the state of science on a topic, and translate this knowledge into models and metrics that meet customer needs and can be deployed at scale.
* Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and compellingly to a range of audiences, including customers and non-experts. Speak at external events and represent natcap as required.
* Quality assure your own work, and the work of others, including through code review.
