Job Brief
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a Northeast business. This is an exciting and pivotal time to join our client, due to great investment and 10-15 year plans in place, the successful candidate would take on and manage a key new project with substantial capital investment. Our client is specifically interested in in an experienced engineer with a background in fabrication to take the lead on this initiative. You will have the opportunity to improve processes and implement change, taking the project to new heights.
Key responsibilities of a Manufacturing Engineer
The purpose of this role as a Manufacturing Engineer is to translate customer specs and requirements into cost effective and efficient manufacturing plans, ensuring quality and technical standards are correctly interpreted.
* Evaluate, develop, and improve manufacturing methods
* Manage process change, ensuring scrap and quality risks are minimal
* Identify opportunities for improvement
* Perform PFMEA and risk assessment
* Waste elimination and cost reduction
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
* Support and project manage the introduction of new processes
* Ensure projects are delivered in time and to schedule
About you
* Well established Manufacturing Engineer with a background in fabrication
* Manufacturing Engineering Degree, or a degree in another engineering discipline
* HND/HNC In Engineering Discipline
* Ability to interpret mechanical and technical drawings
* Previous experience of a Manufacturing Engineering Environment
