We are excited to be recruiting for a General Manager to join our team at MyPad Paisley, our unique student accommodation in the heart of Paisley which features a Social Space with Pool Table, 237 residents and Team ready to make MyPad the best it can be!
About the role
This full-time role offers working hours of 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, you will play a pivotal part in the operations,working in an exciting, people-first environment dealing with people management, marketing, liaising with clients, budget control and rent collection with the opportunity to advance your own career in a fast-growing industry whilst helping deliver exceptional service to our residents.

Our General Managers are responsible for delivering a 5* service to our customers and for the ongoing strategic plans for the development. Key responsibilities of the role include:
* Working alongside our exceptional Marketing Team to develop and implement a plan, including completing competitor analysis and keeping up to date with market changes.
* The opportunity to grow the people within your team, by acting as mentor offering guidance and training and conducting regular 1-2-1s.
* Drafting budgets utilising forecasting and expenditure reports (within approved budgets).
* Organising and attending open days with current and prospective students.
* Liaising with the account’s teams processing invoices and compiling P&L reports.
* Managing the process for all statutory testing within the property ensuring full compliance with all relevant legalisations and ensure all H&S issues are investigated correctly, taking appropriate action where necessary.
The role offers the opportunity to balance the operational aspects of the role with creating a social and fun atmosphere to create an environment where students want to live and work.
About you:
We are looking for someone who is an adept communicator, who thrives in client interactions, excels in people management, and is passionate about mentoring and developing a team whilst ensuring seamless budget management. While experience in Property Management, including collection of rent and arrears, is advantageous, we value your ability to lead and motivate others, whilst creating a warm and welcoming environment for our students. Adaptability in communication styles, coupled with a calm and professional demeanour in high-pressure situations, is key.
