Due to a continued growth in the number of projects they are taking on, our client is currently seeking a Pre-Construction Manager with experience in estimation and work winning. This role will be based at their Beaconsfield office, collaborating with the Managing Director on new tender bids and proposals.Longer-term, you will be tasked with building out teams to work on pre-construction matters and project estimations.A key focus of this position will be conducting work winning activities, so we are ideally looking for candidates that are client-facing and enjoy the hunt of pursuing new business.What you'll be doing:Planning and overseeing all aspects of bids, proposals, tenders, and supply chain management.Developing winning strategies and drafting quality-focused plans for bids, actively participating in reviews of prequalification documents and tenders.Ensuring project delivery and quality align with customer and company expectations.Coordinating the site team's efforts, including sub-contractors/trades and external supply chain, for seamless operations.Implementing and maintaining rigorous quality assurance methods and standards to ensure project delivery excellence.Collaborating with stakeholders to comprehend the pipeline and requirements across various consultancy and advisory categories, including Project Management, Construction Management, Permitting, etc.Generating independent internal take-offs and cost estimates, serving as a subject matter expert in cost estimating activities.Reviewing complex contractor cost estimates, ensuring the ongoing application of unit rates to quantities while validating estimates.Verifying the inclusion of all project work scope in estimates and supporting the authorization and release of each estimate.What we're looking for:Experience in establishing complex contracts and service agreements.Experience in presenting at management meetings and committees.Experience in leading and collaborative working within multi-disciplinary teams.Experience in developing and procuring various forms of contracts, including partnering agreements.Self-starter with strong communication and presentation skills.Proficiency in English; proficiency in other languages considered an asset.Ability to work effectively within a team and seek support when necessary.Highly motivated and results-oriented.Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.Demonstrated integrity in professional conduct.Ability to drive initiatives to closure during critical project stages.Flexibility, credibility, and integrity with partners and internal contacts.Technology savvy with an interest in Smart Buildings.Strong Project Management & organizational skills.Effective stakeholder management and engagement.Essential background in Engineering or Mechanical studies.Familiarity with Google Workspace tools (G Suite etc.) beneficial but not essential.What you'll need:Minimum 5+ years of industry experience, preferably in construction/MEP/CSA project Management/ QAQC/ Commissioning roles.Proven experience in winning tenders within the Public Sector.Demonstrated work-winning experience.Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a technical field.Comprehensive understanding of the project life cycle, from conception to completion and review.
