Role – Estate Manager– Health Safety, and Environmental (Ex-forced personnel)

Your role as an Estate Manager- HSE
Due to the nature of this role, you must be ex forces and have IOSH or NEBOSH to be considered.
We are seeking an Estates Manager to specialise in HSE and FM compliance.
You will play a significant role in overseeing and supporting the management and assurance of Hard and Soft FM services in support of users of the Volunteer Estate, including Reserves and Cadets.
In addition to Hard and Soft FM services, where and when specifically detailed, the Estate Manager HSEP has primaryresponsibility for assuring H&S across the estate – this relates to contractor practices and acting as the H&S lead for the Association
Your salary and benefits in the role:
* salary for the appointment is £35.290 per annum with a £3000 retention and recruiting allowance.
* to join the CRFCA’s pension scheme. This is a Career Average Revalued Earnings scheme (CARE) in which the employer contribution is 13% and the employee contribution 5%.
* successful candidate will be entitled to 25 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays. Annual leave entitlement increases by 1 day per year up to 30 days. Those with 5 years’ prior service with HM Forces/OGD will start with 30 days’ entitlement
Your duties and responsibilities as an Estates Manager:
* for providing professional health and safety and environmental advice in order to drive a positive safety culture, both internally and externally.
* FM & H&S compliance of a multi-site portfolio
* that the systems and procedures which are in place are being adhered to in order to achieve and demonstrate compliance with statutory and MoD-mandatory Health, Safety and Environmental Protection requirements
* out the delegated performance and contract management/assurance duties and responsibilities on behalf of the Senior Estate Manager, working closely with the industry partners and Independent Auditors on the preselected Hard FM works orders and tasks, to include High Value Works Audits, Work in Progress, Retrospective Audits, PPM, Grounds Maintenance and Asset File Checks, as required under Practitioner Guide EM02.
* for providing professional health and safety and environmental advice in order to drive a positive safety culture
* the quarterly H&S meeting, focussed on safe place, safe people and safe processes.This includes consideration of ACF CTC and isolated detachments, in respect of the Chief Executive’s Appointed Person duty.
* HSEP reports as directed by Line Manager
* of RAMS for third party activities being delivered
To be successful in your role, you should have the following skills and experience:
