Reed Accountancy are currently assisting a growing organisation in the Horley area in the recruitment of a Sales Ledger Analyst to join their existing team on and initial 12 month contract. Reporting to the AR Manager as Sales Ledger Analyst you will provide high-quality sales ledger function and ensure that invoices are raised accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to all relevant key performance indicators. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, organised, and has a strong background in sales ledger operations.
Day-to-day duties of the role:
* Generate and process various types of sales invoices and credit notes.
* Analyse and challenge the accuracy and consistency of supporting data.
* Conduct thorough customer reconciliations to identify discrepancies.
* Resolve customer queries effectively and efficiently.
* Assist with month-end reporting, including accruals.
* Contribute to Finance project work as required.
* Help the department meet all Key Performance Indicators.
* Engage in cross-training in all areas of finance functions.
* Improve controls over revenue assurance and seek ways to enhance Finance processes and systems.
* Participate in regular training and learning activities to maintain and develop skills and knowledge.
* Perform additional ad-hoc duties as required to support the wider Finance function.
* Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and working practices, ensuring health and safety for yourself and others.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Demonstrable relevant sales ledger experience.
* Interest in pursuing a professional qualification (AAT or equivalent) or a career in Finance.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
* Advanced administrative and organisational skills.
* Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Confident and accurate use of departmental computer systems/databases.
* Professional, confident, and calm, especially in challenging situations.
* Customer-focused with a supportive, flexible, and positive attitude.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work effectively without close supervision and to prioritise work efficiently.
