Position Summary
* Promotes and provides an excellent wine service to our guests. Improves and maintains wine sales.
Hiring Requirements
* Completed recognized sommelier certification program (e.g. Certified Sommelier, WSET)
* Additional wine education or hospitality-related qualifications preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role at a reputable restaurant or wine-focused establishment.
* Proven success in wine service and sales.
* In-depth knowledge of wine regions, varietals, vintages, and production techniques.
* Effective communication and engagement with customers regarding wine knowledge.
* Track record of driving wine sales and contributing to restaurant profitability.
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Potential leadership qualities and experience leading a wine service team.
Language Requirements
* Ability to speak and read English - analyze and interpret procedure manuals and memos, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
* Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, etc.
