You will prepare supporting calculations andpreparation of drawingsAs a Structural Engineer youwill be passionate about designing sustainable buildings,working within a forward thinking multi-disciplinary practice and beenthused by working across varying sectors within the built environment. Our ideal Structural Engineer must have: A minimum of BSc or BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering (2.2 min.), MSc or MEng preferred Good verbal communication – able to discuss work, and communicate effectively to work collaboratively as part of a team Experience relevant to UK practice and knowledge of UK design standards, codes of practice and methods of construction Familiarity with structural engineering modelling, analysis, and design software (AutoCAD and Revit) A good understanding of building structures behaviourItwould be nice for you to have: The ability to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks Approaching Incorporated/Chartered membership of ICE or IStructE Experience visiting sites The motivation to undertake relevant CPD and to increase skills and knowledge and assist with day-to-day commercialmanagement of structural engineering commissions.You will also have opportunities to achievechartered status, with mentors for both IStructE and ICE and access to regularworkshops and seminars tailored to signing off the core objectives as part ofthe chartership process.
