Company Description BIOCAPTIVA is a medical technology company based in Edinburgh spun out of University of Edinburgh in 2021. We are focused on developing revolutionary polymers and medical devices to transform liquid biopsy testing in cancer management.
As a laboratory research scientist, your role is to use your chemical and biological skillset to develop, analyse, test, and optimize state-of-the-art polymer technologies for DNA collection. This is a varied role with opportunities to apply your skills both inside and outside the lab.
BSc in chemistry or biology, or equivalent
Data analysis and problem-solving skills
Self-sufficient in a research laboratory setting
Knowledge of safe handling of biological materials and contamination risks
Postgraduate qualifications in chemistry and/or biology
Experience in polymer/synthetic/material chemistry
Experience in analytical chemistry
Experience in molecular biology
