Role Overview:
Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment are presently representing the UK division of a world leading business specializing in the supply of materials handling equipment in their search to hire a new Chief Financial Officer.
A UK Board member and part of the UK executive team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the financial integrity of the business. This is a highly autonomous role, vital to the ongoing development of the group, reporting directly to the CEO.
This role is responsible for all financial functions within the business and will work alongside the CEO in the creation and delivery of the long-term business strategy.
Key Role Responsibilities:
Statutory Accounts
* The effective management of the accounts process including the primary point of contact for external audit teams
Management Accounts
* The effective management of the management accounts process, including the creation, monitoring and challenging of the MA’s
Treasury and funding
* Manage the funding process including direct liaison with banking / lending partners
* Ensure funding costs are kept to a minimum
* This includes responsibility for all foreign exchange requirements
Financial Controllers
* Direct management of the team of financial controllers who operate across all businesses and divisions
Group reporting and liaison
* The key point of contact for group financial matters, including but not limited to required reporting
Budgeting and forecasting
* Lead the creation of the annual budget and through year re-forecasting process
* Ensure group deadlines are met
IT
* Lead the I.T. function, ensuring it offers the required support to the business
* Manage the relationship with ERP provider
Credit Control and Purchase Ledger
* Lead the team in the effective management of debtor books and ledgers
Rental fleet management
* Lead the core process of how the business treat / manage the rental fleet
Acquisitions
* Lead the financial process regarding evaluation, due diligence, execution and integration of acquisitions.
Working Capital
* Lead the management of the key elements of working capital, including stock, cash and WIP
Commercial
* Monitor all Departments/functions within your remit to ensure they meet the requirements of the business strategy.
People & Communication
* Authorise all selection, recruitment, hiring and training of people within your area of responsibility.
Experience:
* Management experience in a sales and operations business
* Understanding of a rental business
* Management of multi-tasked teams
* Use of business systems

* Management of Budget/Targets - profit orientated.
