We support the success of our networks and the EV transition through driving the uptake and success of electric vehicles with GRIDSERVE Car Leasing.Everything we do is underpinned and connected by a technology-agnostic, proprietary data platform that grows and improves every day.Get in touchROLE OVERVIEWJoin GRIDSERVE as a Quality Assurance (QA) project engineering pre-commissioning activities across all verticals including for industrial & commercial utility scale solar projects, energy storage & hybrid systems, Electric Forecourts and electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with pre-commissioning and quality assurance of all works and testing requirements on projectsWork closely with Operations and Maintenance team throughout the delivery of the projects to ensure compliance with HV/LV regulationsSupport the installation to ensure, by validating, the delivery of a compliant system to British standards (BS) and best practices standardsBe up to date on relevant project specific design drawings and construction activitiesWork closely with the Commissioning Engineers to validate works completion as per the construction ready designRaise construction issues before or after they arise and feedback to the design team or resolve in situ with approval from the responsible engineering authorityWitness key site acceptance tests carried out by suppliers and sign off on completion as defined in the project test scheduleReport on site activities and monitor completionCoordination of suppliers and installers to carry out Coms & LV installation and configurationResponsible for issuing and reviewing certificates according to National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) as requiredResponsible for energisation of LV circuits as requiredReporting of any deviation from the construction issued drawings to generate As-Built drawingsWork on site and travel to suppliers as and when requiredUpdate site activities and issue relevant completion records and sign-off documentation to be handed over to the energisation team, Technical Advisors and O&M teamWitness FATs in manufacturing facilities in the UK and abroadAdhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System, compliant with ISO standardsPERSON SPECIFICATION Required experience Experience of working in a similar technical engineering role related to electrical networks, solar, battery storage technology or EV chargingRequired skills and abilities of the recommended installation methods of key components in line with the recommendations of the manufacturer and industry best practicesor basic understanding of renewable technologies including battery storageknowledge of witness testing including site acceptance testing, FATs, SATsto understand and interpret design drawingsorganisational skills with ability to manage time effectively between multiple technically demanding projectscommunication and organisation with the ability to work effectively with multiple installers and suppliersto detail and excellent problem-solving skillsknowledge of MS Office in particular Word, Excel and Outlook Required qualifications and certifications or equivalent qualification within the Engineering fieldhold City & Guilds 18th BS7671 Wiring Regs& Guilds 2391-52 Test & Inspect or equivalentEqual Opportunity statement: GRIDSERVE is committed to being an Equal Opportunity Employer.
