An exciting new opportunity has arisen at a global speciality insurance company based in the City for an Internal Auditor to join their team. Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, you will be responsible for conducting independent reviews of a variety of operational entities across the business, through the delivery audit assignments - offering you great exposure. Whilst experience gained in an insurance company would be ideal, this role could also suit somebody with experience gained in a large accountancy practice.
Duties of the Internal Auditor:
1. You will be responsible for effective, complete audit planning, fieldwork and reporting across operational areas
2. Conducting research into assigned audit area, identifying the appropriate audit scope, identifying key risks and controls and possible regulatory requirements
3. Document walkthroughs of key processes
4. Assess the control design, prepare testing plans, conduct testing and produced detailed analysis and evaluation to assess the operation of controls
5. Prepare audit reports that accurately summarise the most significant control weaknesses, unmitigated risks and resulting impacts to the firm, and co-ordinate development of action plans.
6. Identify improvement opportunities in business processes, proposing changes and making recommendations
