Introduction
Due to our clients continued expansion, we are looking for a number of B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join our organisation on a 6 month FTC based at Gatwick Airport. Prospective candidates are required to hold a valid UK CAA Category B1 Part-66 Licence with type ratings on B737 NG, B777 and/or B787 aircraft.
The B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer will have responsibility for the supervision of Mechanics and inspection and certification of scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, structural repairs and functional tests on Airframe, Engine and Electrical systems. They will support the Aircraft Check Manager and allocate tasks to ensure the daily workload is completed and the production plan remains on schedule.
These roles report to the Maintenance Manager - Production and are based at the London Gatwick Hangar facility.

B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer Responsibilities
· Supervise a team of Mechanics performing Base Maintenance on customer aircraft.
· Inspection and certification of scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, structural repairs and functional tests on Airframe, Engine and Electrical systems.
· Complete all assigned work in a timely manner to optimise aircraft downtime.
