Job Description
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of duties including:
* Posting of Purchase Invoices into the system and communicating with suppliers to resolve queries as required
* Sales reporting, including raising invoices and communicating with customers to resolve queries
* Reviewing staff expenses to ensure they are processed and paid in a timely manner
* Chasing outstanding debt through both written and verbal communication
* General office responsibilities including answering the phone, printing, filing etc
* Preparation of bank and balance sheet reconciliations
* Provide support to the Finance team for any day to day accounting issues.
* Provide adhoc analysis as required to support decisions as required from all areas of the business (including Sales, Operations, Installations)
Other Areas:
* Provide support to the annual audit process
* Continuously looking to streamline processes to improve delivery of the above
* Provide support to the head office / factory team to resolve adhoc issues that may arise.
* Preparation of weekly payment runs and supplier management
* Any other duties identified as necessary to achieve the role by the business.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Accounts Assistant will have previous experience within an accounting position, ideally with exposure to accounts payable and accounts receivable. The individual will have:
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent work ethic
* Keen to work as part of a small team
* Experience in Accounts Payable
* High attention to detail
What's on Offer
The salary on offer is dependent upon experience between £25,000 and £28,000 plus a benefits package.
