Role Purpose:
Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you will work as part of a highly customer-focused HR team by delivering an excellent service to its Directors, Managers, and employees in all daily operations of the department. To advise the business in employee related matters in accordance with current employment law and company procedures across 19 sites. This is an office-based position with travel to branches where required. You will also assist in maintaining all administration relating to employee electronic files, recruitment, employee relations, and policies and procedures.
Essential Skills/Experience/Requirements:
1. CIPD level 5 or 7 qualified or due to complete in the next 3 months
2. Experience of attending, supporting, and leading employee meetings covering disciplinary, grievance performance, and welfare related matters in an HR capacity
3. Experience of advising on employee related matters in person, over the phone, and by email
4. Able to take minutes and generate appropriate outcome documentation
5. Experience of recruitment would be advantageous
6. Good standard of education indicated through GCSE or equivalent, grades C or above in Maths and English
7. Experience of using Email and Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and internet
8. Previous experience of maintaining effective office systems and processes is desired
9. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to agreed processes, standards, and timescales
10. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
11. Excellent organization skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
12. Ability to plan and prioritize your own time effectively, aware of own responsibilities and committed to delivering these efficiently with attention to detail and with ownership
13. Ability to meet deadlines in accordance with standards and maintaining accuracy
14. Ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own
15. Willingness to be flexible to meet workload demands while ensuring attention to detail
16. Willing to travel to other locations as required to support or lead employee meetings
17. Ability to work in a highly confidential environment, protecting information and data while respecting confidentiality is essential within an HR department
18. Willing to undertake studies towards CIPD to support your knowledge within the HR department
Additional Information:
Location: Ulting, near Maldon, Essex.
Hours: 5 days per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (1hr unpaid lunch)
Contract: Permanent, full time, salaried
