Duties and Responsibilities:
* Seek out high quality products to meet customer needs.
* Communicates well with other members of the team and keeps them up to date with any cost changes.
* Efficient in meeting the demand of price enquiries from the sales team.
* Identify and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers.
* Looks for ways the company can save money and cut expenses.
* Monitors stock levels
* Keeps up to date with market changes and negotiates with supplies to ensure the company gets the best deal.
* Input purchase orders onto systems using SAGE 200
* Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
* Researching organisations and individuals to find new opportunities.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Someone who has at least 2 years' experience in purchasing.
2. Experience within the food ingredients industry is essential.
