Morson Talent is looking for a temporary Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client for an initial 8-week period. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy detailed work and have a knack for financial processes. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will handle routine financial transactions and record-keeping.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the Purchase Ledger to ensure invoices and credit notes are accurately registered and processed on time.
* Address and resolve invoice discrepancies, ensuring all issues are cleared daily.
* Process company credit card transactions and prepare payments for suppliers in accordance with scheduled BACS runs.
* Perform monthly supplier reconciliations and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
* Respond to inquiries from suppliers and subcontractors, maintaining positive and professional relationships.
* Authorise and process non-PO invoices, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
* Support routine month-end close activities to meet established deadlines.
* Provide documentation and support for internal audits.
* Handle additional tasks as required to maintain the efficiency of the accounts payable function.
Required Skills and Experience:
* You have at least 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable or similar role.
* You are eager to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
* You are adept at handling high volumes of work and can meet tight deadlines.
* Your organizational skills are top-notch, and you prioritize tasks effectively.
* You are proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and you have excellent communication skills.
